Tour Host Pick of the Month

Wild Side Destinations

By Patrick Leigh Posted on Nature

In a slight deviation from my customary practice, I've chosen this month Ito highlight a travel agency (instead of a tour operator) as Pick of the Month. Since my goal has always been to find the company that best represents each newsletter's theme, Wild Side Destination's vast experience in finding the right island holiday for each individual traveler lands it the honor.

Niche marketing is the key to travel agents' success in a market that is less friendly to them than before. Wild Side Destinations has claimed islands as its niche. Because it specializes in 17 different Caribbean islands and four island groups in the Pacific, I have to say that the folks at Wild Side are masters at finding the perfect island for your holiday. Certified by many islands as a specialist, and holding membership in the Caribbean Tourism Organization, Wild Side is up-to-date on all that's happening in its area of expertise.

The possibilities are varied and exciting: Hike the lush Jamaican Blue Mountains? Shop in St Martin? Visit a UNESCO's Heritage Sites in Willemstad, Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles or Dominica's Morne Trois Pitons National Park? Cruise through the Cook Islands or stay in a grass hut in Bora Bora? Wild Side can arrange it.

Wild Side's website has a wealth of information on each island it covers, highlighting what makes it unique and what primary activities are offered. A few pages are still under construction, but give Wild Side a call and the folks there will happily give you whatever information you need.
