In our offices there’s an island in the kitchen that we often stand around with cups of coffee or homemade sandwiches while discussing Cultural Travels and what we’re trying to accomplish.
One of our bedrock goals is trying to make as much information as possible conveniently available to our users, whether they’re travelers, travel agents or tour operators.
Recently, that’s meant adding a bundle of new, easy-to-use search features to our databases. Remember, we not only list 1,200 tour operators, we also have 489 listed trips, 537 festivals and events in our calendar, and a library of 237 travel articles we’ve accumulated since we began publishing this newsletter more than two years ago.
You can easily access each one of those databases from this newsletter simply by clicking on the menu bar that runs across the top.
Once you’ve arrived at a search point, there are several ways you can proceed. For example, you can search our 537-event calendar by theme, country or month.
Our newsletter archive now lets you search three ways for stories:
- You can access our 237 articles by entering a theme, title or author name.
- Or you can scroll through the entire database, which is arranged alphabetically by theme (Adventure, Art, Culinary, etc.), and check out the stories that come up under each theme.
- Finally, you can click on “Index 2000,” “Index 2001” or “Index 2002” and view the contents of entire issues.
Another thing you can do is click the “Services” button and track down all the past queries you’ve made to tour operators. Keep in mind that Cultural Travels does not sell user information to anybody.
Remember, you can do all of these things without suffering pop-up ads or other irritating demands that you buy something.
