Myths and Mountains provides unique trips that benefit both travelers and the communities they visit. Because of the very small size of groups -- 10 people max -- it is easy to enjoy a community without overwhelming it. This also leads to easier integration with the local inhabitants.
The company philosophy is to give back to the communities its clients visit. It has not only created its own program for this, but has also partnered with established organizations, both local and international. READ, established by Dr. Neubauer, helps educate and build libraries in Nepal. In Thailand, Myths and Mountains works with a local organization to improve the lives of the disabled. Working with CARE USA, the company is able to arrange trips to CARE locations for clients who wish to help out in local communities.
